Mary Bell Newton Gervin, a resident of Baton Rouge, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 2, 2024, at the age of 73. She is survived by a daughter, Demetria Gervin-Williams; a son, James E. Gervin, Jr.; parents, Andrew & Lena Spears; five sisters, five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 9am until the funeral service begins at 11am at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1414 Sora St. Baton Rouge, LA. Conducted by Rev. Clee Lowe. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schaffer Family Funeral Home.
