Obituary For Jeana Renae Cooper
Jeana Renae Williams-Cooper was born November 24, 1958, in Independence, Louisiana. On Sunday June 30, 2024, in God's infinite wisdom whispered and called Jeana to take her eternal rest.
Jeana was baptized at an early age at the Midway Baptist Church and later joined New Zion Baptist Church.
Jeana was well-known throughout her community and never met a stranger. She loved people, but above all, she loved her family.
Jeana leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Crystal Cooper of Denham Springs, LA; and son, Cecil Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; her mother, Viola Haynes, Denham Springs, LA; a devoted companion, Leroy Levi, Denham Springs, LA; seven sisters and two brothers-in-law, Claudette S. (Mitchell) Taylor, Jill Williams, Sybil Carter, and Wanda Carter, all of Denham Springs, LA; Donna C. (James V.) Johnson, Sr., Baton Rouge, LA; Angel C. Ward, Baker, LA; and Almashea' C. Spotser, Chula Vista, CA; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Craig S. Scott and Ronald M. Carter, both of Denham Springs, LA., Ardell G. (Shatanta) Carter, Zachary, LA; step-mother, Glory S. Carter, Baker, LA; two brothers-in-law, Barry Fortenberry, Sr., Denham Springs, LA and David Glover Sr., Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Nicholas Spain and Myangel Cooper whom she reared since birth and her special friend, Steven Allen; four great-grandchildren; Amyriah Knight, Nicholas Knight, Noah Spain and Messiah Morris; aunts and uncles, Bernice Thompson, Joan Cain, Linda (Henry) Hood, Jessica Carter, Oneida Carter, Shirley Maryland, Freddie Maryland, E.W. (Denise) Maryland, Calvin (Mary) Maryland, Phillip Williams, Jr. and Jesse Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeana is preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Cooper; father, Spencer M. Carter; granddaughter, Amirah Cooper; daughter-in-law, Demetria Williams; two sisters, Rencer C. Fortenberry and Ann C. Glover; brother, Spencer A. Carter, maternal grandparents; Lucille Scott Williams and Phillip Williams, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mary Maryland Daggs, Wardell Daggs, Landry J. Carter, Sr., and Elizabeth Carter; three aunts;
Lucille Williams, Blanche Glapion and Brenda C. Butler; three uncles; Larry Carter, Landry J. Carter, Jr. and Robert Carter
