Obituary For Imogene "Audrey" Tillery Holland

Imogene “Audrey” Tillery Holland was born September 22,1949, to the union of the late George Tillery and Colie Mattews Tillery of Greensburg, Louisiana. She received her heavenly crown on November 3, 2024. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church. She was united in marriage to Raymond R. Holland on October 3,1970. She became an active member and Steward at Mount Everett A.M.E. Church. Imogene enjoyed sewing, baking, visiting family, making memories with her grandchildren, traveling and shopping for bargains at garage sales and discount stores.

To cherish her memory, Imogene leaves: her beloved husband, Raymond R. Holland; two sons, Terrell R. Holland (Angelique) of Baker, Louisiana, and Cedric D. Holland, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; one daughter, Avesia L. Holland, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter-in-law Anitha Holland; two granddaughters, Gershondalyn F. Holland and Amiyah L. Chaney; and one grandson, Gerald D. Holland, Jr.; and one goddaughter, Keisha Torrence.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Gerald Holland, Sr.; sisters, Ethel Lee Porter and Mary Short; brother, Leroy Tillery, Sr.; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Imogene.

One of my favorite memories was going to Uncle Raymond and Aunt Audrey's house as a child! Aunt Audrey was a beautiful lady who raised a beautiful and sweet family. She could cook and bake exceptionally, and her home making skills were top tier! I'm deeply saddened by her loss, but I find inspiration in the amazing example of true womanhood that she set in our family.
