Obituary For Darius Lamar Haywood, Sr.
In Loving Memory of Darius Haywood
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we celebrate the life and legacy of Darius Haywood, who was born on July 31, 1995, in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his elementary school years, Darius and his family relocated to Cecilia, Louisiana, where he was raised, formed lifelong friendships, and created many cherished memories.
Above all else, Darius was a devoted husband, loving son, caring brother, and proud father. His greatest joy in life was his family. He treasured every moment spent with his wife and children, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. His children were truly the center of his world, and he took great pride in watching them grow, guiding them, and loving them with all his heart.
Darius also found peace and happiness in the beauty of nature. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying time outdoors, he embraced every opportunity to be surrounded by the world God created. He also deeply valued time spent with family and friends. His warm spirit, infectious smile, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was the cherished son of Alden and Tenisha Prout, whose love, guidance, and support helped shape him into the remarkable man he became.
Darius was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Kiemonte Pigott, whose passing just hours before Darius made this loss especially heartbreaking for their family. He was also preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Sam and Birtha McKay; his paternal grandmother, Alice Gayle; and his brother, Marquavius, all of whose memories remained close to his heart.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, Danie; his beloved children, Darius Jr., Kai'dence, King, Kai'Lani, and his unborn son; his parents, Alden and Tenisha Prout; his sisters, Courtney and Alecia; his brother, Y'Keith Jr.; his grandparents, Patricia Haywood, Anita Brown, and Timothy Prout; his godsiblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, kindness, and unforgettable memories he shared.
Though Darius’ time on earth was far too brief, his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched, the love he gave so freely, and the family he cherished so deeply. His memory will remain a blessing, and he will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
The family respectfully requests that all floral tributes be delivered directly to the church.
